Accuracy matters in legal publishing. If a reader believes that an Advocator page contains incorrect, outdated or unclear information, the issue can be reported through our Contact page so that it can be checked against an appropriate official source.
How to Report an Error
A clear report helps us review the issue efficiently.
- Include the page URL.
- Identify the exact statement or section in question.
- Provide an official supporting source where available.
How We Verify Corrections
We do not change a legal statement simply because a report is received. We compare it with an appropriate UAE government, judicial or regulatory source and request additional legal review when interpretation is required.
- Priority is given to deadlines, procedures, authorities, documents and official fees.
- We do not replace uncertain information with another unverified assumption.
- We distinguish an earlier error from a later official change.
Correction Timeframe
Once a material error has been verified, we aim to publish the correction within 7 business days. A correction may take longer where additional legal review or official clarification is necessary.
Public Correction Record
The original publication date is retained. Material corrections are recorded with the date, page, nature of the issue and a short description of what changed. Minor grammar, spelling or formatting fixes that do not change legal meaning may be made without a public log entry.
